As a veteran, I can't help but have mixed feelings about what we're doing in Afghanistan. Part of me says "Round 'em up and shoot 'em" after what Al Qaeda did on 9/11, and the Taliban harboring Bin Laden. The other part of me says that we should get our troops out of Afghanistan. It has been a war zone for over 30 years and it does not look like things will change.
I just feel for the people that have lost someone and for the people that are still over there fighting give thanks to the people that have been in the war over there.
